'Heart of Courage' the project name
- The word 'courage' comes from the French word 'Coeur', which means 'Heart'.
- A project name which feels inclusive, so that everyone can grow from it.
- Courage. To be brave, fearless, tenacious, overcoming, mental physical and spiritual strength, to adventure!
- We all need great courage , especially when faced with life adversity. This includes the emotional and physical effects of cancer treatment as well as healing, recovery, in some cases the grief of losing a loved one.
'Aslan' by Susie Heath
Lions have long symbolized courage, strength, and personal power. We share Susie Heath's photography as a source of inspiration and empowerment.
"Below is one of my favourite photos that I took of a lion. I call this photo "Aslan", who is the Lion in my favourite childhood Narnia series by C.S. Lewis. in one story, Lucy is entering a battle with fear and uncertainty. She then hears a whisper on her shoulder which is Aslan who says..."Courage, dear heart". We all need help sometimes, we just need the courage to believe in ourselves. We need that whisper in our ear. " Susie Heath. Tour de Cure Signature Tour Rider & Fundraiser 2023.
